Guest frogman Posted August 4, 2014 at 01:40 AM Report Share Posted August 4, 2014 at 01:40 AM If a motion has passed by majority vote, can it be put in a motion at a later meeting? Members voted to buy property x for x dollars and passed by majority vote. Committee handling purchase gets information members need to know and puts motion on floor to purchase x again after it has passed in an earlier meeting. Is this the correct process? Chris Harrison Posted August 4, 2014 at 02:55 AM Report Share Posted August 4, 2014 at 02:55 AM Most likely not. If the members have ordered something be bought then it would be unnecessary and improper to order it again. However, I suspect there is more to your question than you are asking. If you give us some more detail (such as why the Committee thinks it is necessary to have the members order the purchase again) we may be able to be more helpful. Guest Barbara Jean Posted August 4, 2014 at 01:50 PM Report Share Posted August 4, 2014 at 01:50 PM I have the same type of question. If something has been voted on by the majority can we bring it back to the table and change it?
