Guest DSanders Posted August 7, 2014 at 11:31 AM Report Share Posted August 7, 2014 at 11:31 AM The By-Laws Committee will present the proposed amendments for the second time with its recommendations. Should the Chair present the amendments one at a time for discussion and vote or present all at one time, and move to receive his report as a matter of record? Once that motion is cleared, the President with the body will determine how to discuss and vote on the amendments.
jstackpo Posted August 7, 2014 at 11:50 AM Report Share Posted August 7, 2014 at 11:50 AM Amendments one at a time for discussion and (possible) amendment and adoption (or defeat, of course). If a set of amendments are logically a unit (they really couldn't be partially defeated or partly adopted and have it make any sense), they can be bundled into one motion. In general you do not move to "receive" a report at all - see p. 508, line 19.
