Guest Sunshine63 Posted August 8, 2014 at 05:32 PM Report Share Posted August 8, 2014 at 05:32 PM Our By-laws just state that the President and Vice President shall be elected for a two-year term, they may not succeed themselves. That is it ! There is not other wording about a successor. 'What we would like to know is can we ask for their resignation if we feel they are not qualified after they have been elected? Our major problem is that the President has taken it upon them self to do everything and have no discussion with the other 10 members of the board (this includes the Vice Pres, Treasurer and Secretary.) and tell us after the fact. jstackpo Posted August 8, 2014 at 07:33 PM Report Share Posted August 8, 2014 at 07:33 PM You can certainly ask for a resignation, but the president can just as easily say "No!"Then take a look at Chapter 20 of RONR -- the "dereliction of duty" approach might help, or at least scare the president into behaving himself.
