Guest Bob Posted August 12, 2014 at 05:32 AM Report Share Posted August 12, 2014 at 05:32 AM Our organizations consiste of over 3000 members throughout the state. We recently had a bylaw comittee meet and present changes at a special meeting called for that purpose. At that meeting we were told these changes were not up for debate and it was solely a presentation meeting. Now they've posted notice of these proposed changes to our website without notice of a vote in approximately 30 days, as per our constitution. Furthermore, we've been told this is an all or nothing vote. We cannot vote on each paragraph separately.
jstackpo Posted August 12, 2014 at 11:46 AM Report Share Posted August 12, 2014 at 11:46 AM Have the requirement spelled out in the bylaws for giving notice of amendments been met?If so then the only thing wrong (and it is substantially wrong) is the "all or nothing" vote requirement. This cannot be imposed ahead of time. Move to divide the question.
