Guest Dr. L Starr Posted August 20, 2014 at 05:17 PM Report Share Posted August 20, 2014 at 05:17 PM Are we allowed to email questions or information regarding our Executive Board Meetings? Some times we are sent the minutes along with the Agenda and would like something changed or a point made if we are unable to make the meeting due to conflicting meetings or the meeting date being changed. What is the ruling(s) regarding the use of email?
Edgar Guest Posted August 20, 2014 at 08:21 PM Report Share Posted August 20, 2014 at 08:21 PM Are we allowed to email questions or information regarding our Executive Board Meetings? Nothing in RONR prohibits one member from contacting another member with questions and/or requests for information. What is prohibited is the conduct of business (i.e. holding a meeting) via e-mail. Some times we are sent the minutes along with the Agenda and would like something changed or a point made if we are unable to make the meeting due to conflicting meetings or the meeting date being changed. See FAQ #14. If you're not going to be present at a meeting your best option might be to ask a member who will be present to make the motions you would have made.
