Guest Alice Saxton Posted August 22, 2014 at 12:27 PM Report Share Posted August 22, 2014 at 12:27 PM Hi, I belong to an organization that usually holds elections in June, we were unable to do so because of lack of Quorum. There is a regular scheduled meeting this Sunday and I was wondering if we can hold elections then or because they were not held at the usual meeting should the members be notified that elections will be held at the September meeting giving all the members equal opportunity to attend and vote? Thank you for any insight you can give me regarding this matter. Alice
Edgar Guest Posted August 22, 2014 at 01:22 PM Report Share Posted August 22, 2014 at 01:22 PM . . . should the members be notified that elections will be held at the September meeting giving all the members equal opportunity to attend and vote? Yes, assuming there's still time to give proper ("reasonable") notice. It might make a difference, for example, whether the September meeting is on September 1st or September 30th. There certainly doesn't seem to be enough time to give proper notice for a meeting this Sunday.
