Edgar Guest Posted August 27, 2014 at 04:53 PM Report Share Posted August 27, 2014 at 04:53 PM A show of hands will do the trick. Roll-call and ballot votes are also options.
Guest Guest Posted August 27, 2014 at 04:58 PM Report Share Posted August 27, 2014 at 04:58 PM Thanks Edgar, Are motions and seconds required when the committee is that small? It would seem senseless to require a motion and then a second follwed by a vote when the same two would be voting again.
Chris Harrison Posted August 27, 2014 at 05:09 PM Report Share Posted August 27, 2014 at 05:09 PM Are motions and seconds required when the committee is that small? Motions...yes. Seconds...no. It would seem senseless to require a motion and then a second follwed by a vote when the same two would be voting again. In committee meetings the Chair participates the same as any other member (RONR p. 500 ll. 9-13 and pp. 487-488).
