Votes in a Committee of Three

When a committee is made up of three members where one serves as a Chairman for the meetings, how should votes be taken?

A show of hands will do the trick. Roll-call and ballot votes are also options.

Are motions and seconds required when the committee is that small?  It would seem senseless to require a motion and then a second follwed by a vote when the same two would be voting again.

Motions...yes.  Seconds...no.

In committee meetings the Chair participates the same as any other member (RONR p. 500 ll. 9-13  and pp. 487-488).
