Edgar Guest Posted August 31, 2014 at 01:59 PM Report Share Posted August 31, 2014 at 01:59 PM Nothing in RONR prevents the president of an organization from serving as the chair of a committee (though RONR makes an important exception for the nominating committee which the president should have nothing to do with). Needless to say, when acting as the chair of a committee he's not acting as president of the organization (and vice versa). Since the fundamental role of a president is to preside at (i.e. chair) meetings, the president might make a very good chair. Or not. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
