No. The motion to suspend the rules might be made in this form: "I move to suspend the rules which interfere with having Mr. X preside over the remainder of this meeting. Gary Novosielski Posted September 15, 2014 at 04:43 PM Report Share Posted September 15, 2014 at 04:43 PM Yes, a single motion to suspend the rules can accomplish suspension of all the rules that would interfere with the desired action (putting Joe Schmoe in the chair), so long as all of those rules are suspendible (which in this example they are)..
