Chris Harrison Posted September 24, 2014 at 02:13 PM Report Share Posted September 24, 2014 at 02:13 PM First, take a vote on whether to order the Previous Question (the proper terminology for wanting to end debate and all other related motions and take a vote on the pending motion). If 2/3 are in favor of ordering the Previous Question then take a vote on the pending motion. If 2/3 are not in favor of ordering PQ then continue considering the motion. See RONR pp. 197-209. Rev Ed Posted September 25, 2014 at 03:00 AM Report Share Posted September 25, 2014 at 03:00 AM If 2/3 are not in favor of ordering PQ then continue considering the motion. See RONR pp. 197-209. In other words, you keep discussing the motion if the Previous Question is not passed.
