Effective date of action taken in a meeting, despite the meeting was recessed for a month

During an annual meeting of a mass meeting, several resolutions were approved.  The meeting was recessed for 1 month.  When is the effective date of the resolutions?  Are they (resolutions) effective immediately upon passage or adjournment of the  the reconvened meeting?

Any motion or resolution which is adopted takes effect immediately unless some rule, or the motion itself, provides otherwise.

Or maybe the bylaws committee was unspeakably slow in drafting the bylaws and it's time for the second annual meeting.
