Informal email voting against one of our bylaws about finances

Our bylaws do not state anything about informal email voting. Can our Class President ask the

class officers to vote against one of our bylaws pertaining to our finances? If the class officers

do vote by email(yes or no) and the majority rules, will this overrule our bylaw about what is

It will have no effect on your bylaws at all.

 

In RONR-Land, all voting takes place at (in-person) meetings.

RONR has a lot to say about informal e-mail voting.  It prohibits it.

 

If the vote is held, the results will be null and void, and won't overrule anything.

E-mail voting is not permitted unless authorized by your bylaws. In addition, rules in the bylaws generally may not be suspended, so the motion would likely be out of order (and null and void if adopted) even if it was made at an actual meeting.
