Edgar Guest Posted October 11, 2014 at 04:33 PM Report Share Posted October 11, 2014 at 04:33 PM The "motion to table" should be ruled out of order (see FAQ #12).The subsidiary motion (to amend the pending main motion) should be dispensed with disposed of before returning to the consideration of the main motion (either in its original form or as amended). jstackpo Posted October 11, 2014 at 04:38 PM Report Share Posted October 11, 2014 at 04:38 PM In this order: top down... 1) Motion to table motion & amendment until next BOD meeting which is AFTER date indicated on Main Motion But this is improper on two counts: you should move "Postpone" not "Table until..." AND it is improper to attempt to postpone something past the time it is relevant -- this is equivalent to simply defeating the main motion. 2) Motion to amend motion that does NOT impact date 3) Main Motion which includes a date to hold something
