Guest Richard Posted October 14, 2014 at 07:12 PM Report Share Posted October 14, 2014 at 07:12 PM Due to medical complications the Nominating Committee cannot complete its work to provide a slate on the time table dictated by the bylaws. WE need to move everything back one month. Under what RONR section would this situation be covered? Thanks.
Edgar Guest Posted October 14, 2014 at 07:16 PM Report Share Posted October 14, 2014 at 07:16 PM Every member of the nominating committee has "medical complications"? That's unfortunate. But not to worry, The election can proceed without any report from the nominating committee. That's what nominations "from the floor" are for. None of those? You can hold an election without any nominations at all.
Rev Ed Posted October 14, 2014 at 07:35 PM Report Share Posted October 14, 2014 at 07:35 PM Surely someone will stand up at the meeting to be nominated for a position - unless there are term limits, the current members can be re-nominated and potentially re-elected. And the Nominating Committee can still report on those candidates it has found.

Rev Ed Posted October 15, 2014 at 04:25 AM Report Share Posted October 15, 2014 at 04:25 AM Not that that's how nominations work. Huh? Have you not heard of volunteering. That's what I mean - members may stand up and volunteer to run for the Board.
