Guest John Bernardi Posted October 15, 2014 at 09:43 PM Report Share Posted October 15, 2014 at 09:43 PM Five people are running for five offices. Nominations are closed and we do not allow write in votes or proxies. What is the correct motion to approve the slate and is a membership vote required? Edgar Guest Posted October 15, 2014 at 09:48 PM Report Share Posted October 15, 2014 at 09:48 PM If your bylaws don't require a ballot vote, the chair can declare sole nominees elected "by acclamation". But there's no "slate" and, therefore, no approval of the slate.
Richard Brown Posted October 15, 2014 at 10:14 PM Report Share Posted October 15, 2014 at 10:14 PM Make sure your bylaws don't require a ballot vote. If they do, you have to have the ballot vote. No electing by acclamation or unanimous consent.

What do you mean by "we" do not allow write-ins? The question is do your bylaws prohibit write-in votes? And do they require elections by ballot?
