annual election is coming up, our board is divided in half on what way to take our org. one group wants to make changes to be relavent with the times, the other keep things as they have been for the last 30 yrs.The old group has brought up chages against the president 1. improper notification of meetings 2. letting people vote outside of town( bylaws have never been clear on this)3.last meeting not ran according to roberts rules. My question is if the president is removed from the board and they follow with election can he be nominated

Nothing in RONR would prohibit someone who was removed from office from being nominated for, elected to, and serving in, another (or the same) office.

You might also want to consider whether removing the president from the board is the same thing as removing him as president.

The short answer solution? Elect someone else.

Not having read your bylaws (and even then), it's not possible to speculate what the case is for your organization.

But bear in mind that according to what might be called a fairly typical arrangement in many societies, the board could have the power to remove a person as president, but no authority to remove him from the board--on the grounds that he was elected to the board by the general membership, but elected to the presidency by the board members.

I have no idea if that's your structure, but I wanted to point out that you would be well advised to take Edgar's advice to consider the difference between the two, as the difference can make all the difference.
