Robert's Rules in churches

"Where did Robert state that his rules are good for just about any organization, except a church"?

Nowhere. Part of the reason for General Robert's study in parliamentary law, which led to the writing of Robert's Rules of Order, was due to his experience as the presiding officer of a church assembly. So the idea that he would say something like this is nonsense.

I am trying to find the answer to the following question, and would appreciate any input or information you may have.

Oh! The irony! :o

Henry Martyn Robert, the original author, drafted his modest handbook in 1876 because of the horrid meeting he had chaired as an inexperienced presiding officer . . . --
