Guest Donna Sahlberg Posted December 10, 2014 at 04:25 PM Report Share Posted December 10, 2014 at 04:25 PM I've scheduled 3 meetings and filed the agendas with a specific time to start. If the time scheduled for a board meeting changes while the meeting is in progress is the agenda still valid?
Richard Brown Posted December 10, 2014 at 04:32 PM Report Share Posted December 10, 2014 at 04:32 PM Yes, but I'm not sure you completely understand the role of an agenda and the rules about agendas in RONR. It might be of some help to study FAQ # 14: http://www.robertsrules.com/faq.html#
Edgar Guest Posted December 10, 2014 at 04:38 PM Report Share Posted December 10, 2014 at 04:38 PM . . . the time scheduled for a board meeting changes while the meeting is in progress . . . Without traveling back in time, how is that even possible?

Gary Novosielski Posted December 10, 2014 at 04:58 PM Report Share Posted December 10, 2014 at 04:58 PM I've scheduled 3 meetings and filed the agendas with a specific time to start. If the time scheduled for a board meeting changes while the meeting is in progress is the agenda still valid? Yes, because in order for the meeting to be in progress it must have started. Or are you talking about the end time? Never mind--agendas typically don't even have times on them. Programs do.

Hieu H. Huynh Posted December 10, 2014 at 05:24 PM Report Share Posted December 10, 2014 at 05:24 PM Perhaps Guest_Donna Sahlberg is asking about the call of the meetings. The call of the meeting is a written notice of the time and place, which is sent to all members a reasonable time in advance. Perhaps the validity of a previous call is being questioned if the time has changed?
