Guest Janie Bays Posted December 17, 2014 at 03:28 PM Report Share Posted December 17, 2014 at 03:28 PM We are holding a special meeting at our church to approve a resolution to update the signers on our checking accounts. We would like the Secretary to make the resolution, since he is the one who has been involved. However since he will be a signer on the account and therefore is named in the resolution would this be proper. The Secretary does not have the authority to open or close checking accounts per the resolution. I say he can make the motion since this is a recommendation from the corporate officers and will need to be seconded and voted on by the members.
