Edgar Guest Posted December 23, 2014 at 05:57 PM Report Share Posted December 23, 2014 at 05:57 PM Nothing in RONR prohibits it. If the voters think it's a problem they'll elect someone else.

Rev Ed Posted December 24, 2014 at 12:29 AM Report Share Posted December 24, 2014 at 12:29 AM Can a husband and wife be president and treasurer? RONR does not prohibit this. Only the By-laws of the organization, or a statute covering the organization, can prohibit this.
Hieu H. Huynh Posted December 24, 2014 at 03:04 AM Report Share Posted December 24, 2014 at 03:04 AM Sorry for so many questions in a row, but thank you for any assistance. I think it's great to see so many questions. For me, each question is like a gift on Christmas Day. I can't wait to unwrap your next gift... I second Mr Huynh's (that's so much fun to type but the other nine fingers get bored and start to drum absent-mindedly while they're supposed to be hovering inactively, causing no end of typos to be laboriously excised) applause of Abigail DeSesa's asking questions. Questions are good for you. They make your brain grow. Ours too. (Dagnabbit. Preachy again.)
Transpower Posted December 27, 2014 at 01:52 PM Report Share Posted December 27, 2014 at 01:52 PM Nothing in Robert's prohibits a husband and wife both holding offices in an organization. However, some organizations do specify in their bylaws that there may be only one office holder from a single household. If that's what you want, then you should change your bylaws. I didn't understand this at all until I realized that "should" is a typo for "shoot."
