Chris Harrison Posted January 13, 2015 at 04:46 PM Report Share Posted January 13, 2015 at 04:46 PM First, the new Treasurer should contact the old one and (reminding him that he needs the information in order to do his job) ask it be turned over ASAP. If that doesn't work and the new and old Treasurers are on good terms with the President (or some other well-respected member/officer) maybe that person can intercede. If after all that he refuses or continues to drag his feet the new Treasurer may need to get the Membership involved (make a motion that the information be turned over by a specific date). If all else fails, the records are ultimately the property of the organization (not the Treasurer) and if someone is in possession of property that isn't theirs and refuses to return it the police could be brought into it.
