Who is Authorized to call for an executive session

Who is authorized to call for an executive session in an association board meeting that is a non-profit. It is our belief that only the president can authorize such but individual board members may request such. In addition, can a regularly scheduled board conference call be held in it's entirety as executive session.

An executive session isn't "called for". The assembly (the members present) decides whether (and when) to meet in executive session. A majority vote (or, or course, unanimous consent) will do the trick.

All or part of a meeting can be held in executive session. Some boards meet exclusively in executive session, either by custom or by rule.
