Guest James Posted January 15, 2015 at 04:30 PM Report Share Posted January 15, 2015 at 04:30 PM Recently our club elected new officers for the new year. The newly elected positions will take effect on January 18th. However, After the elections were held the president and newly elected president passed away. What is the procedure to replace the newly elected president?
Gary Novosielski Posted January 15, 2015 at 04:35 PM Report Share Posted January 15, 2015 at 04:35 PM At the risk of presuming too much, it's likely that you don't need to replace the newly elected president. Instead you need to replace the newly elected (or reëlected) vice president, who will automatically become president on January 18. Until then, the current vice president has automatically become president for the remaining (three) days of the term of the deceased president.
