Guest Dorothy Johnson Posted January 17, 2015 at 02:18 PM Report Share Posted January 17, 2015 at 02:18 PM Can the board of directors appoint one of its members as chairman of a newly formed committee? Our HOA is forming a committee to choose the colors for the outside of all of the homes. One of the board members is demanding to be the chair of that committee. If the association (i.e. the general membership) is appointing the committee then the association determines who will serve on it, and in what capacity.
