keefe Posted January 27, 2015 at 04:47 PM Report Share Posted January 27, 2015 at 04:47 PM At our quarterly meetings we receive an agenda a week prior to the meeting. I have always refrained from discussing agenda items prior to the meeting because I feel it will take away from any discussion that should take place amonst other members. Is there any rule on this? What are your thoughts?
Richard Brown Posted January 27, 2015 at 04:53 PM Report Share Posted January 27, 2015 at 04:53 PM There is no prohibition in RONR as to members informally discussing anything they want to among themselves. It is quite common, actually.

Edgar Guest Posted January 27, 2015 at 05:34 PM Report Share Posted January 27, 2015 at 05:34 PM At our quarterly meetings we receive an agenda a week prior to the meeting. And note that a proposed agenda doesn't become the agenda until it's adopted at the meeting See FAQ #14. Also, discussing things before the meeting can save a lot of time at the meeting.
