Guest Greg Posted April 30, 2015 at 12:28 AM Report Posted April 30, 2015 at 12:28 AM Is there a ruling in RRO book that married couple/live -together partners actually not allowed to serve on the board together? I researched indepth and found no such thing about this.
Richard Brown Posted April 30, 2015 at 12:31 AM Report Posted April 30, 2015 at 12:31 AM No, there is no such prohibition in RONR.
Guest Greg Posted April 30, 2015 at 03:34 AM Report Posted April 30, 2015 at 03:34 AM That's what I thought! Thanks for the confirmation. I'll advise my Law committee that there's such no prohibition in RRO thus allowing married couple/live-together partners to beserve on the board.
jstackpo Posted April 30, 2015 at 06:21 AM Report Posted April 30, 2015 at 06:21 AM Next time someone claims there is some rule which you are pretty sure isn't in the book (or your bylaws), ask them to show you the rule. This will keep them busy and out of your hair for a while (and save you some work, too).

Tell the Law committee that there is no need as yet to ask SCOTUS if such a prohibition is unconstitutional.
