Hieu H. Huynh Posted April 30, 2015 at 10:40 PM Report Share Posted April 30, 2015 at 10:40 PM No rule in RONR requires it since minutes are not required for committees (and subcommittees), although they may keep "a brief memorandum in the nature of minutes for the use of the committee" (RONR 11th ed., p. 500, ll. 7-8). Gary Novosielski Posted May 1, 2015 at 12:46 PM Report Share Posted May 1, 2015 at 12:46 PM No. Committees (much less subcommittees) are not required to have minutes at all. In fact they are not required to have a recording secretary. If you have the latter, and wish to have the former, and want them to be signed, nothing in RONR would prevent it, but in the absence of all of the above, the actions of the committee are no less valid than if you have them all.
