Two Board Members Resign - Should There Be a Vote for new board members?

The president and Treasurer of our board resigned under financial controversy eight weeks ago.  The remaining VP and Secretary have not communicated with the membership. They appear to be running a secret society with a chosen few members and have not responded to requests to hold a vote to fill the two vacant positions.

What is our recourse in this situation?

Thank you,

It's actually the remaining President and Secretary. In event of a vacancy in the office of President, the Vice President automatically becomes President. So the two vacant positions are Vice President and Treasurer.

I'd say the recourse is to remove the President and Secretary from office, and proceed to fill all four vacancies. See FAQ #20. Keep in mind that previous notice is required for an election to fill a vacancy.
