Guest Guest Posted May 12, 2015 at 08:25 PM Report Share Posted May 12, 2015 at 08:25 PM so our bylaws state that music directors and fine arts directs can only serve as adviser, and this person is the instructor in the band and directs plays for drama club, how should we handle this. does this make this person exempt according to bylaws? Also, this would only constitute a conflict if the members say so. There are two ways of looking at this: one is that it is a conflict, but another is that the instructor will be able to better lobby the committee for funding, new equipment, etc. if he/she is a member of the committee.
