majority for vote

At a recent meeting the vote was 42 to 41 and the motion was passed. Should there have been more of a difference in he vote or since we don't have a set amount is this sufficient?

Thank you for your help.

The basis for decision making in RONR is a majority vote (more than half). A vote of 42 to 41 is a majority in the affirmative. So yes, this is sufficient.
