keefe Posted June 10, 2015 at 05:22 PM Report Share Posted June 10, 2015 at 05:22 PM No,One of the many duties of a Secretary is to make the minutes and records available to members upon request. (See p. 460, II. 113-117) Those members however are members of the board or committee. Your bylaws may state something differently.
Richard Brown Posted June 10, 2015 at 05:32 PM Report Share Posted June 10, 2015 at 05:32 PM Your bylaws may state something differently. As might state law if you are incorporated or some other type entity (homeowner's associations, etc) subject to state law provisions regarding access to records by members. Edgar Guest Posted June 10, 2015 at 06:41 PM Report Share Posted June 10, 2015 at 06:41 PM Do members of an organization have the right to see minutes of the monthly Board of Directors meetings? No. No,Well, individual members don't have that right but the general membership can order the minutes of board meetings to be read at a meeting of the general membership (p.487). So the members, collectively, do have the right to at least hear the minutes of board meetings, if not see them.
