parkourninja Posted June 27, 2015 at 09:26 PM Report Share Posted June 27, 2015 at 09:26 PM I have heard the term "Division of the House" thrown around. Does that mean the same thing as "Division of the Assembly"?
DrEntropy Posted June 27, 2015 at 10:50 PM Report Share Posted June 27, 2015 at 10:50 PM "Division of the house" is not defined in RONR. I might mean the same thing as Division of the Assembly, which is defined in RONR, but you would have to ask those who are throwing the term around. If I remember correctly, Division of the House is used in House of Commons in Parliament, and actually once resulted in people moving to each side of the chamber to cast their vote, but now they have special "Division" lobbies to which they go... But in RONR Division (of the assembly) simply results in a rising vote.
