what records must removed board members turn over to the new board president?

The removed president has access to the society's data base that she is unwilling to release.  This data base contains personal info such as home and out of town phone numbers, and most importantly is a record of dues payment.  Is there recourse?

All outgoing officers, regardless of cause, are obligated to turn over all documents and access information, such as passwords, to the organization upon leaving office and upon request.  Short of legal action, which is beyond the scope of this forum, we can tell you that the former president, if still a member of the organization, is subject do disciplinary action ranging from a simple censure to suspension and expulsion.  See Chapter XX of RONR asap for details.

The documents and access codes she has are property of the organization.  They are not her private property.

Has anyone asked for this information?  What is the ex-president's response?

You might also consider a motion directing the former president to turn over all documents and access codes to a named individual, such as the secretary or new president, immediately, by a date certain.
