Guest Joan F Smith Posted July 5, 2015 at 07:40 AM Report Share Posted July 5, 2015 at 07:40 AM We have a specfic project we would like regular board members to direct as a Special Committee. That request has offended an Executive Officer as he was asked not to serve on this committee. We want this large project to be an accomplishment of the board, learning to work as a team, and to stimulate their ongoing interest.
jstackpo Posted July 5, 2015 at 10:45 AM Report Share Posted July 5, 2015 at 10:45 AM Who, or what body, is authorized (how?, by bylaws?, by a motion?, by "tradition"?) to appoint members of the special committee? I'll bet the Exec-Officer would cease to be "offended" if you proposed to cut his pay.
