I agree with Mr. Martin's answer, but would point out that sometimes, if action is actually taken in an executive session, it is necessary to report on the action taken.  That can be done without disclosing any details of the discussion that took place at the meeting.

 

For Guest PJ:  It's not the Secretary who makes the decision that it's "necessary" to report on the action taken even in his own report.  As Mr. Martin notes "No information is disclosed from executive session except that which the assembly has chosen to disclose."   (emphasis added)  Nothing is necessary to report when it comes to executive session action until the assembly says it is.
