Guest YAH Posted July 23, 2015 at 02:40 PM Report Share Posted July 23, 2015 at 02:40 PM If meeting min are approved by the board and then later it found that the votes were recorded "14 -0" rather then "vote passed" can the boar vote to edit the document to so that votes are recoreded as simply "Vote Passed"? or is it to late? If the vote was counted and the result was 14-0, the count MUST be shown in the minutes. If there was no count, noting the motion was adopted is all that's required. It's not too late to make corrections after the initial approval assuming a change needs made. See RONR (11th ed.), p. 305ff

Well, that's only if a counted vote was ordered (or required). If fourteen members were present it would be obvious if the vote was unanimous no matter how the vote was taken. I wouldn't tamper with approved minutes just to change an accurate (if unnecessary) count.
Gary Novosielski Posted July 23, 2015 at 05:56 PM Report Share Posted July 23, 2015 at 05:56 PM It's not too late, but I agree with Guest, Edgar--why bother?
