How long is a motion off the floor good for, is it the term of office of the President, term of office 1 to 2 years

In general, motions are "good" until the action they approve is completed, or, if they are intended to have lasting effect (such as the passage of a rule) they continue in effect until amended or rescinded.

RONR (11th ed.), pp. 301-302, l. 35, ll. 1-7:  "A question that has been laid on the table remains there and can be taken from the table during the same session, or, if the next regular business session will be held before a quarterly time interval has elapsed..., also at the next session after it was laid on the table.  If not taken from the table within these time limits the question dies, although it can can be reintroduced later as a new question."
