Chris Harrison Posted November 9, 2015 at 11:29 AM Report Share Posted November 9, 2015 at 11:29 AM Nothing in RONR would prevent it. However, the bylaws (or the body electing the officer) may say otherwise.
Dan Honemann Posted November 9, 2015 at 12:56 PM Report Share Posted November 9, 2015 at 12:56 PM can an officer who has been removed from office according to by-laws, then run for same office befor original term is up/ If an officer has been removed from office (and was present or has been officially notified of his removal), this action of removal cannot be rescinded. As a consequence, if an assembly should decide, for some reason or other, that it has made a terrible mistake in removing him from that office, the only way for it to reverse the action which it took will be to reelect him. This may be difficult to do, however, if someone else has already been elected to serve in that office for the remainder of the unexpired term, or in a case where the officer removed is the president and the vice-president has automatically become president.
