Guest TC CLERK Posted November 10, 2015 at 05:21 PM Report Share Posted November 10, 2015 at 05:21 PM Just curious, we recently had a Budget Hearing Agenda posted. One of the members of our City Council decided to write on the posted agenda (it's posted at our local Post Office) and list in writing issues with the information on the Agenda. My question is this, Is someone allowed to tamper with, or alter an agenda based on their own opinions? I cannot find this information listed anywhere. The City Clerk has recently taken down the altered Agenda, and posted a new one.
Transpower Posted November 10, 2015 at 05:33 PM Report Share Posted November 10, 2015 at 05:33 PM RONR (11th ed.), p. 372, ll. 24-35. A precirculated agenda is not binding; it may be amended prior to adoption at the meeting (if that is your custom). Still, it was bad form for someone to tamper with the proposed agenda prior to the meeting.
