Motion passed without a valid second

At a recent board meeting, a motion was made and seconded, and the board then voted.  After the fact, we realized that one of the board members no longer had standing with the board (both his term on the board, and the by-law-mandated holdover period had expired).

Is the vote still valid?  And is there a short-cut parliamentary process we can use, short of reintroducing the matter and taking another vote at the next meeting?

Thanks in advance -

TS
