Guest Robin Smith Posted May 9, 2017 at 01:55 PM Report Share Posted May 9, 2017 at 01:55 PM I am trying to find in Roberts Rule of Order the paragraph where there is guidance to suspend a particular continuing resolution that is no longer beneficial to the organization. Keep in mind that at the present time the Constitution, Bylaws and Continuing Resolution are under review. The Constitution is 99% ready to go to the congregation for acceptance. Until it is approved, I am looking for a way to temporarily update/change an existing Continuing Resolution. Your assistance would be most helpful. George Mervosh Posted May 9, 2017 at 03:51 PM Report Share Posted May 9, 2017 at 03:51 PM If the resolution in question isn't part of the current governing documents it could be simply amended or rescinded if it's still applicable. See RONR (11th ed.), p. 305ff for full details.
