Guest Fred Posted May 11, 2017 at 08:08 PM Report Share Posted May 11, 2017 at 08:08 PM The by law said we need to to an audit/reveiw each year, because of a change in membership we missed two years. We are a not for profit org. can we now change the by laws to read must have an in house reveiw each year by an appointed committee?. As far as RONR is concerned your bylaws can contain whatever your society would like them to contain, but until the amendment is adopted the current rule remains in place. Given what you've posted an amendment sounds like a mighty fine idea.
Rev Ed Posted May 12, 2017 at 03:37 PM Report Share Posted May 12, 2017 at 03:37 PM It all depends on what any statute covering your organization says. Legislation may require an audit. But as far as RONR is concerned the By-laws can contain whatever the members want them to say.
