Gary R Jones Posted July 10, 2017 at 02:48 AM Report Share Posted July 10, 2017 at 02:48 AM Our chair overlooked the 2/3 majority required for a motion, and nobody else caught it until after the meeting. Does the carried motion stand?
Kim Goldsworthy Posted July 10, 2017 at 02:53 AM Report Share Posted July 10, 2017 at 02:53 AM The chair's announcement stands. "After the meeting" is too late to raise the Point of Order.
Richard Brown Posted July 10, 2017 at 03:11 AM Report Share Posted July 10, 2017 at 03:11 AM I agree with Mr Goldsworthy. If the chair's announcement of the vote result is erroneous, a point of order must be raised immediately in order to correct the error. Otherwise, the chair's announcement stands.
