Willie Watson Posted August 7, 2017 at 02:42 PM Report Share Posted August 7, 2017 at 02:42 PM Our assembly recently had a regular meeting in which there was not a quorum. Therefore, a motion was made to adjourn the meeting and the motion was accepted. The Secretary was under the impression that there should be no minutes because we did not have a meeting. I pointed out that in RONR p. 347, ll. 22-29, it stated that a meeting was held even though no business was transacted (written committee reports were also sent in via email to the Secretary). So I have a two part question: (1) Should there be minutes for the meeting? (2) Exactly what goes in the minutes in the absent of a quorum? George Mervosh Posted August 7, 2017 at 02:50 PM Report Share Posted August 7, 2017 at 02:50 PM 1) Yes. 2) Exactly what happened, which doesn't sound like much. They'll be approved at the next meeting, assuming a quorum is present.
