Guest Nikki Posted August 8, 2017 at 06:10 PM Report Share Posted August 8, 2017 at 06:10 PM A Resolution was just passed through our Council, but it was just discovered that the dollar amount pertaining to a grant was incorrect. I feel that logically, the resolution must go back through Council with a motion to amend, but I can't find anything in Robert's Rules that specifically states that. Any info or thoughts would be appreciated.
George Mervosh Posted August 8, 2017 at 06:24 PM Report Share Posted August 8, 2017 at 06:24 PM The resolution can be amended. See §35. Rescind; Amend Something Previously Adopted, beginning on p. 305 in RONR (11th ed.).
Guest Who's Coming to Dinner Posted August 8, 2017 at 06:40 PM Report Share Posted August 8, 2017 at 06:40 PM To look at it the other way around, why would you think it proper to alter an adopted motion without Council approval? Just because "everyone knows" the dollar amount is wrong? Yes, they obviously left two zeroes off the end of my salary … I'll just fix that …
