Guest Geoff Report post Posted April 15 Is a member of a Board committee eligible to vote on a motion to approve committee meeting minutes for a mtg at which the member was not present? Is a former member of a Board comm. eligible to vote on minutes of a mtg they attended while on the comm?
jstackpo Report post Posted April 15 Yes, but... commonly committees (of boards or of assemblies) don't keep minutes in the first place. See page 500. The principal document that a committee produces is its report, or reports. That is what gets voted on. No. Voting (on anything) is a right restricted to membership. Drake Savory Report post Posted April 15 And minutes are not voted on, they are approved (with unanimous consent assumed) when no further corrections are offered. The only voting would be if a member offers a correction that others disagree with.
