Guest Abby Posted May 28, 2019 at 11:30 AM Report Share Posted May 28, 2019 at 11:30 AM In reviewing last years approved Board minutes, more often than not, Motion made (no name) Seconded (no name)and passed without dissent. Are these valid motions? My notes include the person who made and name of person who seconded. Thanks.

Failure to include the name of the maker of a motion in the minutes does not invalidate the motion. The names of persons who seconded motions should not be included in the minutes. jstackpo Posted May 28, 2019 at 11:46 AM Report Share Posted May 28, 2019 at 11:46 AM Yes - all valid. The usual is that the mover but not the seconder are named in the minutes.
