If the agenda is to be adopted and become the official order of business for the meeting, the agenda should be read unless copies of it are distributed, in which event it need only be read if a member requests it. This is the same as for any item laid before the assembly for adoption. If the agenda simply conforms to the standard order of business or a special order of business adopted by the society, and is provided for information only, then no rule requires that it be read.
