Guest Nancy Melendez Posted July 18, 2019 at 04:35 AM Report Share Posted July 18, 2019 at 04:35 AM Can an appointed officer (Parliamentarian) be removed from office by the President? The Parliamentarian was appointed by the President. I would think any appointed position serves at the will of the President. Help!
Guest Zev Posted July 18, 2019 at 06:05 AM Report Share Posted July 18, 2019 at 06:05 AM Do the bylaws mention the office of Parliamentarian? If so, what does it say? In RONR-land this type of individual serves at the discretion of the President and may be replaced at any time. Some organizations admit the appointment by the president but wish to reserve the right to reject such an appointment by either the membership or the board. Check your bylaws for any clues. Transpower Posted July 18, 2019 at 01:28 PM Report Share Posted July 18, 2019 at 01:28 PM Usually the appointing person or body is also the removal person or body.
