Richard Brown Posted January 21, 2020 at 12:17 AM Report Share Posted January 21, 2020 at 12:17 AM I've noticed lately that posts often "repeat" themselves, causing the post to appear twice. The same thing has been happening to me with paragraphs within a post. I will type a paragraph, then start the next paragraph, but somehow one or more of the paragraphs repeat themselves. This seems to happen primarily when I am on my cell phone (an I-phone). Is anybody else having a problem with paragraphs automatically repeating themselves? Does anybody know why this is happening and what can be done about it?
Gary Novosielski Posted January 28, 2020 at 02:49 AM Report Share Posted January 28, 2020 at 02:49 AM I have not run into this. Sometimes I see duplicate posts, but no more often than in the past, and they appear to be genuine duplicates which brand new guests seem to be particularly adept at. Rob Elsman Posted January 28, 2020 at 04:59 AM Report Share Posted January 28, 2020 at 04:59 AM iOS machines have a keyboard setting that lets you set the time interval before a key repeats. My guess is that your interval is set too short, which causes the machine to read two presses of the Return key when you only intend one. anon Posted January 28, 2020 at 10:42 AM Report Share Posted January 28, 2020 at 10:42 AM I had this happen to me when I tried to make my very first post to this forum (December 2019). When I pressed the Submit Reply button I was kicked out to the Browse tab and no longer logged in. Since I can't be certain of the entire sequence of key strokes I'll chalk it up to being a new forum participant. I am using a Windows 10 desktop.
